Working with young people (aged 18 – 30) has been part of Spread the Word’s story since the beginning.
Our most well known programme is probably the Young Poet Laureate scheme, which evolved into the Young People’s Laureate for London and ran from 2013 to 2021. Alumni include celebrated authors like Cecilia Knapp, Momtaza Mehri, Theresa Lola and Caleb Femi.
