Be inspired and an inspiration in equal measure to young people.
Be My Next Inspiration recognises poetry as a craft that can inspire us all. It offers a chance to reflect on the city of today; it creates opportunities for unheard voices to be heard; and it allows us to notice what matters most, through the words of young Londoners.
ABOUT
This new initiative, a collaboration between Spread the Word, creative agency BUREAU and the trustees of Be My Next Inspiration, aims to help young people new to poetry to understand the excitement and opportunities that words can offer them. More than this, it is a powerful statement showing that young people are being listened to.
Be My Next Inspiration is asking for collaborators to be inspired by the ten poems from young Londoners, both established and those just starting their journey and create a piece of work in any medium whether an artwork, a poster, a t-shirt, a blog post…

We asked creative people from across the capital to collaborate with us on Be My Next Inspiration.
Inspired by the fanzine and using their own creative flair, passion, and will to make things happen, they have created work that will make young Londoners feel they can inspire people through their words and help young Londoners feel that their voices are being listened to.
The final work, inspired by the poems, will be unveiled on Thursday 27 September 2018.
