Pubished Date: 13/05/2026

Deadline Date: 08/07/2026

London Writers Centre is delighted to be partnering with the WME Literary Agency for our latest 1-2-1 feedback opportunity. From Wednesday 13 May 2026, we will be accepting submissions for:

  • Horror
  • Romantasy
  • Fantasy
  • Speculative Fiction
  • Science Fiction

Francesca Ali and Suzannah Ball, literary agents at WME Literary Agency, are offering a maximum of eight short feedback sessions for submissions by writers from underrepresented backgrounds based in the UK.

Each agent will be offering up to four 20-minute sessions by phone or video.

What the agents looking for

Suzannah is on the lookout for books with a spark of magic or darkness that surprise and excite her. Anything with romance is always a plus, but essentially Suzy is excited to delve into something truly original and imaginative.

You can visit Suzannah’s agent page by clicking here.

Francesca is looking for expansive fantasy with an immersive world that she could almost step through the pages into. Top of her list is science-fiction that has a lot of heart and found family, with adventure that soars across the stars.

About Suzannah Ball

Suzannah represents adult and crossover fiction as well as a select list of non-fiction, and is keen to work closely with both debut and experienced authors to help them develop material and ideas. Some of her clients include Instant Sunday Times Bestselling author Jennifer Delaney, #1 NYT Bestseller Philippa Rice, and founder of Rare Birds books Rachel Wood, among many others. And alongside her US colleagues, she represents the UK interests of various clients including Sarah A. Parker, SenLinYu, Callie Hart, and romance authors Ivy Fairbanks, Chelsea Curto, Annie Crown and Peyton Corinne. She loves working with authors from across the world and finding their books the right home outside of their primary market.

About Francesca Ali

Francesca is primarily interested in science-fiction, fantasy, horror, and speculative works across all ages. She enjoys a project with an expansive world that prioritises character at heart and leans literary in tone. Romance is a plus but should not be the driving factor of the narrative. High on her list is science-fiction that plays with form and takes the genre in new directions (like This Is How You Lose The Time War by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone and The Surviving Sky by Kritika H. Rao). Any fantasy that will need a map at the front of the book and a glossary at the back will be immediately captivating! Some of her favourite books and authors are: Uprooted by Naomi Novik, The City of Stardust by Georgia Summers, The Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer, Fonda Lee, Samantha Shannon, and Madeline Miller. In the UK, Francesca represents Monique Hazel, Solar Hoàng, Phoebe Yemi Ara, Georgina Donnelly, and Abby Dewsnup. Alongside her US colleagues, she represents Felicia Day, Cat Dang, Isabelle Mongeau, and Joseph Eckert.
