We’re proud to see our alumni getting well-deserved recognition. Here’s a round up some of the incredible success stories across of our programmes.
London Writers Awards alumna Annie Hayter has won both the Moniack Mhor Emerging Writer Award and the Galley Beggar Short Story Prize. A remarkable double.
London Writers Awards alumna Salma Ibrahim won the 2026 Gordon Bowker Volcano Prize for her novel Salutation Road, was announced at the Society of Authors Awards on 18 June. The prize aims to inspire literary excellence, while encouraging writers to travel and to write about the experience. Congratulations to Salma.
London Writers Awards alumna Felicity Yeoh has two picture books coming out in the next six months. The Kingdom of Tigers, published by Kumusha Books (HarperCollins), will be released on 2 July 2026. Yum Yum Dim Sum, by Little Tiger, is due to be released in January 2027, ahead of Lunar New Year.
Wellcome Collection Non-Fiction Awards alumna Dr Shema Tariq has secured UK and US book deals for Speculum: Women, Power and the Medical Gaze. The book will be published by Viking, an imprint of Penguin Random House UK, in May 2028.
