Run by London Writers Centre in collaboration with independent producer Tom MacAndrew, Deptford Literature Festival was scheduled for 14 March 2020 over one day. The Festival comprised of 17 events and workshops, 14 of which were free to attend and all taking place in accessible venues and spaces.
For the 2020 Festival, we worked in partnership with the Albany, Creekside Educational Trust and Deptford Lounge and received funding from Arts Council England.
The Festival was cancelled two days before it took place due to Covid-19, with 690 tickets having been pre-booked. All artists were paid and tickets reimbursed.
The Festival relaunched in 2022.
